Dr. Amin Honarmandi Shandiz

Amin started his doctoral journey in September 2019, focusing on enhancing Silent Speech Interface algorithms. Prior to this, he successfully completed his master's degree at Kharazmi University in Tehran, specializing in a related field. During his Ph.D. pursuit, Amin made significant contributions to the academic community. Amin co-authored a total of 10 publications. Notably, one of his research papers was published in Hungarian and gained recognition within Hungary. Amin's commitment to excellence was exemplified when he received the Best Paper Award for one of his contributions at the AICV conference held in Morocco. His scholarly achievements extended to prestigious conferences as well. Amin presented his research at InterSpeech conferences in both 2021 (Czech Republic-Brno) and 2023 (Ireland Dublin), actively participating and engaging with fellow researchers. He also took on the role of a session chair at the IEA/AIE conference in Japan, where he presented the related research and also was a reviewer for ICASSP 2023. Amin's academic collaborations extended beyond borders as he worked with universities such as ELTE and BME in Hungary. He also honed his skills in data gathering by conducting experiments at ELTE University and analyzing data from Edinburgh University. This hands-on experience strengthened his expertise in research methodologies. Furthermore, Amin reached out to numerous professors and universities globally to deepen his understanding of his research topic. He engaged with experts from the University of Austin (USA), Granada University (Spain), Tokyo University (Japan), Dresden University (Germany), and Edinburgh University (UK). This extensive outreach allowed him to broaden his knowledge, being an independent researcher and connect with a diverse range of scientists. His expertise was acknowledged when he was invited to present an accepted paper at the MoonSHINE workshop, held in KIMLE, Hungary-2023, alongside other prominent scientists and researchers in the field. Beyond academia, Amin demonstrated his passion for knowledge-sharing and community building. He actively participated in the ESN group at his university, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and helping Erasmus and other students fully enjoy their educational experience by co-organizing events with local students.
