Prof. Takayoshi Yokota

Takayoshi Yokota has been a professor at Tokyo Information Design Professional University since 2023. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1979, 1981, and 1984, respectively. He joined the Hitachi Research Laboratory, Hitachi Ltd., in 1984, where he was engaged in the research and development of traffic control systems and traffic information systems. He moved to Kyoto University in 2009, where he was a professor until 2012. He then moved to the Graduate School of Engineering at Tottori University, where he was a professor from 2012 to 2021. He was awarded the Best Scientific Paper Award at the 26th ITS World Congress in 2019 and the Best Paper Award from The Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE) in 2023. His research interests include the analysis, modeling, and digital signal processing of intelligent transport systems (ITS) data. He is a member of IEEE, IEICE, and SICE.
