Dr. Badiaa Ait Ahmed

Dr. Badiaa AIT AHMED is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands (IAC) in Spain. She conducts research on medical technology, focusing on developing innovative solutions for challenges in medical diagnostics. She holds a Postdoctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Biomedical and Health Research Institute (IUIBS) at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. She worked on medical image reconstruction and the development of new tools in biomedical engineering, particularly for cancer detection. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering through joint supervision between the University of Abdelmalek Essaadi in Tetouan, Morocco, and the University of Vigo in Vigo, Spain. In 2019, she was awarded an Erasmus+ International Fellowship at the University of Alcalá, Higher Polytechnic School, Madrid, Spain, where her research focused on RF/Microwave Engineering for Smart Cities and Internet of Things applications. Her experience is centered on the analysis and design of microwave circuits and their characterization at both ambient and cryogenic temperatures. She is a co-author of approximately 30 publications and books.
